The Shuttleworth Veteran Aeroplane Society exists to support the outstanding collection of vintage aircraft and vehicles at the Shuttleworth Collection. Many of the exhibits are in flying or running order, and some are unique and priceless survivors of their type. A large museum/hangar complex is open to the public throughout the year and regular event days are held during which many of the Collection's aircraft are flown. The Collection relies upon the donations made by the SVAS and its members - so take a flight through our website and see if we can convince you to join us and keep this priceless collection alive!

The external bracing wires, which with one exception are all streamline section, were delivered just after Christmas and have now been fitted. With all the engineering closures over the past 50 or so years, it is quite surprising the firm that made these wires during the First World War is still extant.
